IFÉ-ILÉ supplements and strengthens arts and education programs in Miami-Dade's public schools, colleges and universities through programs that build awareness of Afro-Cuban culture as well as cultural pride, inspiration and enrichment for attendees of all backgrounds.

Current Classes & Workshops (Updated 1/7/09)

Afro-Cuban & Afro-Modern Dance:
Led by Cuban instructor Neri Torres.

Learn the sacred dances of the Orishas, Rumba (Guaguanco), Mambo and more Cuban social dances, as well as a fusion style of modern dance that incorporates fundamental movement of traditional Afro-Cuban dance.

Tuesdays 8 - 9:30 pm

Saturdays 12:30 –2 pm

Cost: $15 ($12 for students with I.D.)

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are available in Afro-Cuban dance (see Afro-Cuban Traditions), including Orisha, Guaguanco, Salsa, Stretching, Timba, Cuban styling and shines, Cha-cha-cha and more.
