Lula Lounge invites you to a Salsa Dance Party! With beginner salsa lesson by Bailaboogaloo

The night begins when the doors open at 7pm, when you’re ushered into another world, part old Havana and part Sao Paolo.

Have a seat overlooking our red dance floor and enjoy a Cuba Libre or Mojito while you await an expertly prepared three course meal from our new summer menu and listen to the sounds of Bebel Gilberto, Gilberto Gil and Celia Cruz, among others.

At 9pm, we have an hour-long beginner salsa lesson where you’ll learn some moves you can use when the band starts at 10pm!

About the artists: Jorge Betancourt y su Cafe Cubano

Since their debut performance at Lula Lounge in September 2005, Cafe Cubano have dominated Lula Lounge’s weekends with their potent blend of dance-floor friendly salsa and high-energy showmanship.

Drawing on the skills of three of Toronto’s most accomplished frontmen – singers Yani Borrell, Alberto Alberto and Angel Luis Marquez – an evening with Cafe Cubano evokes the spirit of the legendary dance clubs of Havana.

Lead by music director/pianist Jorge Betancourt and featuring some of Toronto’s finest musicians from such famous Cuban groups as Adalberto Alvarez y su Son and Cubanisimo, Jorge Betancourt y su Cafe Cubano are one of the most in-demand groups in Toronto’s latin music scene today.
