Ernesto Cabrera was born and raised in the famous town of "El Cerro", Havana, Cuba. From an early age, he was exposed to Cuban Rumba and Salsa Casino dancing. By age 12, he knew how to dance Salsa, but it was not until he arrived to Miami that he polished his style of dancing. Although he has never taken dancing classes, he has learned a lot from watching Salsa instructors and their performances.In 2001, Ernesto started his DJ career doing parties, weddings and other events with great success throughout South Florida. In 2003, after participating in a "Salsa Lovers Dance School" party, he started to get involved with Miami’s salsa community. A year later, Ernesto started hosting the music in events for salsa schools like "The Salsa Kings", "Rumba Na'Ma", and "Salsa-Fusion". DJ Cabrera is well known because of his outstanding taste for Timba "Cuba’s contemporary music" and Hardcore Salsa.Ernesto is a Timba lover and promoter with an increasing music collection that includes Los Van Van, Charanga Habanera, NG la Banda, Paulito FG, Manolito y su Trabuco, Bamboleo, Isaac Delgado, Adalberto Alvares, and many others. Among his favorite Salsa groups are Oscar de Leon, El Gran Combo, Frankie Ruiz, Africando All Starts, Jose Alberto "El Canario", and many other bands from New York, Puerto Rico and Colombia.

DJ Cabrera is also know in the Latin nightclubs scene as he have worked on clubs like Yuca at Miami Beach and Café Ire.
